Earlier today, fire control received several calls reporting a vehicle on fire at the above location.

One fire engine from Porlock and one fire engine from Minehead were quickly mobilised to the scene.  On arrival, crews confirmed one vehicle and an attached horsebox were well alight.

Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 1 compressed air foam jet, and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the vehicle fire as well as a section of tarmac and the grass verge nearby.  The fire is believed to be accidental.
